I really do. It’s the one Christmas thing I could really do without. I usually go for gift bags, but Cory wanted to wrap them this year… and where is he? Not here helping me, that’s for sure! His excuse? He has to work… Okay I know, it’s a good enough excuse when it comes down to it, but did I mention, I hate gift wrapping!
In all seriousness, I am happy he is back to work, though his doctor really could have waited one more day. Who puts someone back to work on Christmas eve? He is happy to be going back to work. So for that reason I am really happy for him. I think he was getting bored being home.
He’s off at 5 today and then we are driving 2 and a half hours to my parents place for Christmas. This will be our first Christmas spent together. Last year we were together as a couple but he spent Christmas here in the city and I went to Digby to my parents. We have decided for the time being to stay together and alternate Christmases with his parents and siblings and mine.
I should go and get my gift wrapping over with. I hate it because I am all thumbs when it comes to it. I end up cutting things too short, too long (Ya, I know I can just cut it but then I have unusable small oblong weird pieces of paper. Which I hate. Obsess much? Nah I don’t think so…) or just otherwise awkward and I hate that. I feel like I am wasting things.
Yesterday afternoon Cory did do up a few presents for his Mom and Dad and sister and brother. Max kept walking off with the roll of paper or kept trying to get in the middle when he was wrapping. It was hilarious but do you think the little bugger would do it again after I got my camera? No… of course not. Little brat.
Merry Christmas everyone!
