  • Stir crazy

I am getting so bored. It is September 6th and it is almost 30°C outside or it feels like it anyway, I think it is like 22-23°C and feels like 26-27°C. It’s beautiful and I am sitting on my couch with all the windows open watching the Simpsons and playing games on the computer. It does not feel like fall yet. It’s so warm outside.

I just want to be outside. We went this morning to the Harbourview Weekend Market in Dartmouth with Cory’s cousin to look around. This weekend is the 50 Mile Yard Sale which is an event that goes on every year. My best friend Erin and I usually go every year. We all decided yesterday not to go since we did not have much money left and need to use what is left for gas till the end of the month and can not spare the gas. I am disappointed. I really wanted to get out all day and enjoy the day. Doesn’t even bother me that I would be doing all the driving. It would have been worth it. [...]

  • First day back at work

So today was my first day back at work. I woke up about 9 am to the smell of bacon cooking in the kitchen. Cory made bacon, eggs, home made hash browns (with veggies) and toast for breakfast. He loves to cook and is fairly good at it (mo on the other hand, well that is a story for another time…).

After getting showered we sat down and ate breakfast together before I headed off to work. I left about 10:30am as I work at 11 am and wanted to get there a few minutes early. I live really close, 5 min by car but like to be at work at least 15-20 minutes before my shift starts to get everything set up on my computer, programs and such.

  • Oops! I am such an idiot sometimes…

So I was sitting on the couch last night trying to modify a theme I want to use and guess what I did? I’ll give you three guesses…

Sorry all your guesses are wrong (unless you actually guess right, obviously)! So, I spilled Kool-Aid (yes, Kool-Aid) all over my laptop. What a waist of perfectly good cherry Kool-Aid. I spilled the whole freaking glass. It went down into my keyboard, into the speaker that is under the screen on the left side of my laptop and out through the fan at the bottom of my laptop meaning it got inside.

At first, I was so shocked and surprised  at first that I actually did it. Believe it or not I have never spilled any liquid more then 1 or 2 drops on my computer. It took me about 2-3 minutes to even realize that I got the computer as I also poured half of it in my lap.

  • The hassle of looking for a new laptop

I have no idea why these things always happen to me. I priced out a nice laptop on Dell.ca and applied for financing. I have been waiting for over 3 weeks to hear back from them and it is ridiculous! Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired, that’s for sure.

First off my current laptop is 5 1/2 years old. I bought it in 2009. I actually love my laptop, it’s a Toshiba Satellite A300-05M and it is pretty nice but it is starting to go on me. The fan quit so it overheats, the keyboard is buckling and little and keys keep coming off, they go back on pretty easy if you do not loose the little inside pieces, however I am tired of putting my computer back together!

  • Scared of the dentist

I think this is a common theme a lot of people seem to be a part of, being scared of the dentist. I am going at 10 AM tomorrow and have been stressing about it all day. The time before last was the first time in years since I last saw a dentist, mainly because I could not afford one and had no dental insurance. After the x-rays he advised me my teeth were in pretty good shape for a 33 year old that had not seen a dentist in over 15 years. I did have 4 small cavities though, one in each of my back molars and that my wisdom teeth had no room to come out and he was surprised they were not giving me issues and that I had not had them out when I was younger.

I made the appointment to come back to have the cavities filled, however something came up and I canceled the appointment with the promise I would call back the next week and re-schedule. Needless to say I did not. A few months later one of the molars with a cavity cracked and then a small piece broke off, after a day it was sore so I called and went back in, he told me I had an abscess and would need a root canal or the tooth pulled. So I made the appointment and he put a temporary filling in that never hardened. I wasn’t bothering me and stupid me, I never made an appointment to go back. [...]

1: When did you start your blog?

I started this particular blog on March 12th, 2013.

2: Have you had anyone online presence before? Another blog, YouTube etc?

I have been blogging since 1999, I can’t even remember the site, something similar to LiveJournal, but I don’t remember the site. My first domain I owned sometime in 2001. I also blogged in tons of other places and have facebook, youtube, twitte, tumblr, pintrest, instagram and ficker accounts among others not listed here.

3: Why did you start your blog?

I started first with just sites about things I was into and liked, then moved into blogging when I was going through a period of really heavy depression and social anxiety. I found it helpful. Still do.

4: When did you become serious about blogging? [...]
