Posting with speech recognition

I’ve been playing around with my new Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and found something pretty cool. There’s this app called ListNote that uses Google Voice to turn speech into text. I figured out that after you’re done talking you can share it to the WordPress app. This means that you can speak your whole blog post and it will turn it to text and post it for you. Pretty neat huh? I found this pretty convenient since I find it hard to type with this, it hurts my hands. It also seems to be very accurate.

I’ve got to say I absolutely love this tablet! There’s really only one thing that I think needs improvement on. The screen is not as responsive to touch as it could be. Other than that I’ve got to say it’s a great little tablet. I would definitely give it 4 out of 5 stars. I love the live wallpaper! Right now I have panda eyes follow my finger around the screen. Isn’t that neat? I can’t wait to use it at work tomorrow!

I have done a lot of reading on it. I’ve downloaded a few books from my local library using the OverDrive app. Its so much easier to read on then my iPhone. I added 32 gig Micro SD card to make it 40 gigs total. I’m not sure I’ll have much use for my laptop computer anymore haha. I guess it’s time to give it to Cory. Just kidding, never know… I might need it. He will get to use it a lot more though.

Cory and I went for a drive to Peggy’s Cove with his brother, sister and his parents today. Unfortunately, I did not think to bring the tablet with me. I didn’t want to be rude and be playing with the tablet while I was in the van with them. I wasn’t thinking that I could use it to take pictures and edit them. I didn’t bring my camera either. I did bring my iPhone so is able to take a few pictures with that. Other than that it’s been a pretty boring day. I’ve just been playing with the tablet!

  1. Ughh I’m so jealous of your tablet! You lucky duck! Im hoping I can convince Kevin to get a tablet but he is a little bit technologically handicapped, that anything new that comes out he’s not really into. I’m not really that great with stuff like that either but they just look like so much fun, and I bet if you’re going on a trip somewhere they would be fun to use to help pass the time!

    1. They are a lot of fun! I really recommend the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. The only thing I’d so differently is purchase a 16gig at the least not an 8gig. Since the apps can’t be saved on the external micro sd. Only files and music.

My boyfriends not much into technology either the most I can get him to do is get a 32″ LCD and a PS3 and he thinks he’s set lol. Me on the other hand I work tier 1 tech support for a technology company so I love gadgets. Just can never afford them. Just play with the ones at work.
